Delete my account
In the app
Open the LegalNib app, go to Profile → Delete my account, and confirm. Your account is suspended straight away and permanently deleted 14 days later.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email support@legalnib.com from the email address or with the phone number on your account, and we will delete it for you.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile and account details
- All cases, drafted documents, and case notes
- Uploaded evidence, files, and images
- Your wallet
- Your sign-in identity with our authentication provider (Firebase)
Unused wallet credits are forfeited when your account is deleted — they have no cash value, are non-refundable, and cannot be recovered afterward.
You have 14 days to change your mind. Your account is suspended immediately, and simply signing in again during those 14 days cancels the deletion and restores full access. After 14 days the deletion is permanent and your data cannot be restored.
What we have to keep
None of these keeps your name, phone number or email:
- Invoices and wallet transactions — eight financial years, as GST and company law require
- Records of what you consented to — three years after deletion
- The activity log — one year from each entry; entries about filings, payments and account actions for three years, with the IP address removed after the first year
- If you received the new-account welcome credit: keyed cryptographic hashes of your phone number, email and Bar Council enrolment number, which cannot be reversed — kept with no end date, solely to stop the same person claiming that credit again
