Terms of Service

These Terms are between you and Metamersist Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("LegalNib", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using LegalNib, you agree to these Terms.

Who this is for

LegalNib is built for licensed advocates practising in Indian courts. It is a drafting aid, not a law firm, and does not give legal advice.

Wallet credits

• Wallet balance is a prepaid service credit, used to pay for document generation and other metered features.
• Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value outside the platform.
• Purchases are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. If you believe a purchase or a charge was made in error, contact support@legalnib.com.
• Unused credits are forfeited if your account is deleted or terminated.

Beta service and bug reports

LegalNib is in beta. The service is in active development, may contain defects, may be unavailable at times, and may change. To the fullest extent permitted by law it is provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Beta status does not reduce your own obligation to review, verify and certify every draft before it is filed or relied upon.

• If you report a problem and that report helps us identify or fix a defect, we may, at our discretion, add goodwill credits to your wallet.
• Those credits are a free issue made without consideration. They are not a fee, payment or reward for services, and reporting a problem creates no obligation on us to grant anything. There is no fixed amount per report.
• Credits granted this way are ordinary wallet credits and are governed by Wallet credits above — usable for drafting and other metered features, non-transferable, and of no cash value outside the platform.
• We may decline a grant where a report is duplicated, automated, not reproducible, or where an account is being used abusively.
• Do not include your client’s confidential or privileged information in a report. Send us the document reference and what you expected to happen, and we will look the rest up. Privilege under s.132 of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam belongs to your client, not to you.

Nothing in this section limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or any other law whose application cannot be excluded by agreement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use LegalNib for any unlawful purpose, or to draft documents intended to mislead a court or another party.
• Attempt to circumvent citation verification or knowingly file a draft containing a fabricated citation.
• Share your account credentials, or use the platform on behalf of someone who is not a licensed advocate.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the platform's infrastructure.

Account termination

You may delete your account at any time — see Delete my account. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or the acceptable-use rules above, or that we reasonably believe poses a security or fraud risk. Where practical, we will notify you first.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of LegalNib after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
